Zombie Logo

Aron drove down the desolate road, not that it used to be incredibly well traveled, but it was especially eerie these days. It was 4 months since the zombies first appeared, slowly wrecking havoc internationally. Iceland’s already meager population had been decimated, or at least that’s what the news said. Aron wasn’t really sure, considering how spread out everyone was, maybe others had managed to get away, hopefully. Supplies were starting to dwindle and Aron did not have hunting skills, especially not for the options he had out here. He had decided to hedge his bets and go towards civilization hoping maybe somewhere had survived, or at least there was food that hadn’t rotted.
Buildings slowly materialized at the horizon, it was now or never. Aron eyed the spiked bat in his passengers’ seat, hoping he wouldn’t have to use it. As he came closer to the town he saw how bad of shape it was in, broken windows in nearly every building, crashed cars, what looked like a crime scene that had frozen, thawed, and been snowed on. Scanning his surroundings Aron looked for some sort of grocery store or market or even just signs of life. There used to be a Bonus Market here, but to say it was out of order would be an understatement. Whatever hadn’t been looted was surely spoiled. Aron sighed and continued his journey to the next town, he had been through several already, all in similar condition to this one.
Some hours later Aron rolled up to another town, if this place didn’t have food he would have to start learning to hunt. The town wasn’t in the best of shape, but it was still somewhat better than the last. As he drove past the first few buildings he saw it. A Bonus Market, but it was a little different, the sign had been altered, the normal pink piggy bank had purple patches stitched over it, as if the logo itself had turned into a zombie.1 Hesitantly Aron approached the market and saw the lights were on. “Welcome,” said a voice coming from near the door. “H-Hello?” Aron replied, this being his first human interaction in over a month. A person stepped from the shadows, “Welcome… To the last Bonus.”
